Domaine de Tamary is a project between Frederic Salin of Salin, the négociant house in Bordeaux and Jean Luc Zuger, owner of Château Malescot St. Exupery in Margaux. The property is located in Provence, close to the Mediterranean sea and at the foot of the Massif des Maures. Using Cinsault, Grenache and Mourvèdre, the estate extracts the grapes gently to produce a rosé with a lovely nose, lots of fresh fruit and well balanced minerality.

Today, Ernesto’s daughter Jole and his son Enrico are actively involved in the winery. This family domaine is based to the north of Sancerre, in Mambray, a tiny hamlet not far from Verdiny and Chavignol. The 14 hectares are carefully managed by Pascal and his wife Nathalie, alongside Nicolas’s widow Sophie. The soil, which is a mix of clay and chalk, typical for the region, gives a wonderful, minerally, fine-boned Sauvignon Blanc. The estate’s reputation is built on both red and white cuvées which are managed sustainably and vinified separately to produce unique and characterful wines.
